A new incarnation of the classic Paternayan Persian yarn produced by Saco River Dyehouse. Back from near extinction the company that produced Paternayan Yarn has recently been bought and they are reintroducing their full compliment of colors, over time we will carry all 415 colors. This lustrous, sturdy woolen yarn is great for needlepoint, rug making or repairs, weaving and other texile arts.
100% Virgin Wool is a fiber that is perfect for those felting projects you have been wanting to try out.

Exactly What Was Needed!

No one in Delaware sells this yarn. I needed a small amount to finish a project. Yarn Barn came to my rescue!

I have been working on needlepoint covers for the seats of my dining room suite for many years. I am now working on the last one which I had left unfinished a number of years ago. I searched my house over for the remainder of my thread and was so worried that I would never be able to match the color. Yarn Barn had a great color brochure with color numbers and pictures. I finally was able to match the color I needed and now I am able to finish this lifelong project. Thanks y’ all.

I have used this wool for almost 40 yrs for my needlepoint and there is none better. Believe it or not, I was unable to find it n the Bay Area Where I live. The sale of company I suspect is the reason but people must know that it will continue being made and the wonderful Yarn Barn has it.
